We had our baby girl at Authentic Birthing Center 5 months ago now. We’ve been meaning to write this review since the very beginning. This is absolutely our favorite place to go! We left feeling strangely very sad that our time there was over but also so joyful because we had the most precious newborn to love. Authentic really made our experience the most beautiful delivery we could’ve ever wanted or imagined. We left feeling like they were very much an extension of our family! My wife is pregnant with twins.  I contacted Authentic to see if they could deliver twins, but state law does not allow for it.  However, they suggested a doctor who believes strongly in natural birth instead of caesarian for twins, my wife met with him today, and she has now decided to work with him going forward. The words thank you don't quite seem adequate for how I feel. The prenatal and birth experience I was able to have under your care was phenomenal! I had a traumatic hospital experience with my 1st baby due to the doctor pushing his agenda on me and doing interventions I didn't want or need. I knew that this pregnancy and birth needed to go differently. That's when I found you and I'm so grateful I did!

From day one I knew baby and I were in good hands. I never felt rushed or pressured into any decisions. I always felt heard and had all of my questions (no matter how menial) answered. Time and time again you reassured me that I could do this the way I wanted and that made all the difference in my healing from my previous experience.

Even though there were some bumps along the road (the early subchorionic hematoma and then baby's position near the end of the pregnancy), I always felt safe and secure under your care. The actual labor and delivery went so fast compared to what I had expected and prepared for. While I felt a little panicked about how fast it was going, your calm demeanor and presence helped ground me.

Getting to give birth in the water at Authentic was a dream come true. I know that there is nowhere else I'd rather have my future babies at than Authentic. I will always speak very highly of Authentic and my experience. It seems bitter sweet that today is my final appointment. I will truly miss seeing you all. If you’re looking for a beautiful, quiet and warm environment to birth a baby... Authentic is the place for you!  We had a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend this birthing center to anyone. The staff is so kind and knowledge and we absolutely loved our midwife Katy. She was so helpful and encouraging throughout the entire pregnancy and postpartum period. We wouldn’t change anything about our birthing experience. Lanette,
Thank you for being such a huge part of Moriah’s birth! You are such a blessing to our family and it was such an honor to have you as our midwife! Thank you for having a safe place for not only mother’s and babies , but families to have the experience of being apart of the birth ! It meant SO much to Isaiah and he has not stopped talking about how excited he is and how special it was to him to see his prayers come true and see “sister” be born!

I also want to add that EVERYONE was so helpful and what an special  treat to have “new”( to me) members of the Authentic Family!
